When you hear the word "meditation," you porbably get a mental image of Rafiki, the sage-baboon from The Lion King. He was a dear character for many of us growing up, and unfortunately, we can probably more accuratley quote him than we can quote Jesus. Well, when it comes to meditating on God's Word, it's not about copping a posture by sitting on a rock, contorting your legs, making circles of life with your fingers, and emitting an sustained vocal murmur.
I have been reading The Gospel Mystery of Sanctification by Walter Marshall lately, and he has some helpful guidance when it comes to Scripture memory and meditation:
