In Part 1 of this series of blogposts, we learned about the need for Christians to open their eyes and ears and use discernment. So, once we've done that, once we begin to see the hatred toward God that surrounds us, what do we do? Well, what did Elihu do? He got angry...
Thirty-two chapters into the book of Job, we have witnessed a long, useless argument between Job and his friends about the cause of his sufferings. Suddenly, we find that another man, Elihu, has been listening in. Elihu has waited to speak up “because they were older than he” (Job 32:4). But when Job’s friends have no more answers, Elihu has the guts to rebuke these men and shame Job for lying about God. There is much that we young men can learn from Elihu’s courageous and wise words.
